Maxpedition Fatboy Versipack (EDC Bag)

Every Day Carry bag is important and a life saver, or for some a way to store your everyday item whether your going to work or just doing some stroll, Pinoy’s love to wear a slinger and put the bag in front to avoid pickpockets, But sometimes its a bit small and not durable thus we end up in buying another one. Some will purchase a “Class A” type of bag which most of the tactical shop sell for 400-1000PHP but is worth your money? Is it durable?

Yes! It is modelled out from the original versipack but the webbing that was use was not. It is double stitched by a cheap thread, Cordura? Definitely not.

Yes! I admit that I went thru all that fake bag, but I learned my lesson.

Recently I got this Maxpedition Fatboy Versipack from Taiwan, and I was impressed by the features and the durability, I heard a lot of good reviews about this, so I went and bought this pack,

I got this Wolf Grey color. Maxpedition just added this color on their line of packs just this year (2015), with 1050-Denier water and abrasion resistant light-weight ballistic nylon fabric.

It has this Duraflex buckles on the front flap, it emits low noise when you close it which is good for person that has a “Gray man Concept”.

On the flap there is a zipper and a slip pocket good for storing your ID or lighters, i saw some store their spare coins here.

On the right side of the pack, 5-inch in depth (if you are facing the pack) it has this sheath that fits my flashlight (5-6 inch long) the sheath cover is adjustable to suit your need. It has a Velcro lock.

On the upper part of the flashlight sheath, you can put your analog phone here or 17 round magazine for your gun. It has a duraflex buckles as a locking mechanism.

On the left side of the pack it has this pouch that has YKK zippers good for storing your medical kits or fire starter kits and even a Soda can fit in here.  Outside it has this 1-inch and 2-inch molle compatible modular attachment, you can clip a small folding knife or small flashlight, i like to keep my bottle opener here lashed with paracord.

On the back, it has a mesh with thin foam and breathable lining and a detachable waist strap.

Here you have the Maxpedition keeper for keys and emergency whistle.

On the other side of the strap is a 2-inch side release duraflex buckles, good for a quick release.

Box and double stitch nylon webbing on all stress points for added reinforcement which makes the pack very durable.

On the top of the pack is a three quarter inch integral grab handles with double stitched nylon webbing.

Directly below the keeper it has a strip of modular webbing for attaching your knife or small flashlight, I use this to conceal my spare key, which fits on the 2-inch molle webbing.

On top of the flap is a 2-inch Velcro strip to for your morale patches.

The pack has a 2-inch wide by 11-inch long shoulder pad and its removable; it is secured by 3 Velcro strap.

On the top part of the gear is a 8-inches by 7.5-inches wide compartment for your CCW or Concealed Carry Weapon, lined with Velcro it is compatible with the maxpedition universal hoster. A glock 9mm pistol can fit nicely here or your Rugger 357 GP 100 revolver.
(Please secure a permit to carry outside residence for gun control law compliance on your country)

If you flip open, the flap you’ll see this 4.5 inches deep by 5-inches wide slip pocket where you can store your small notebook or rite in the rain pad and pens of course depending on how you set up your gear.

On the top of the slip pocket, it has 6-inches by 5-inches wide zipper pocket and a 5 by 5-inches additional slip pocket.

The main compartment has a protective storm collar with 2 mesh sleeve pocket inside where I store some trash bag or your multi tool and paracord.

The pack is coated by Triple polyurethane for water resistance, and a Teflon fabric protector for grime resistance and easy maintenance, High tensile strength composite nylon thread (stronger than ordinary industry standard nylon thread). Stress points double stitched, Bartacked or "Box-and-X" stitched for added strength, Internal seams taped and finished, and has Paracord zipper pulls. 1050-Denier water and abrasion resistant light-weight ballistic nylon fabric.

The original versipack!

Definitely the maxpedition fatboy versipack is the most versatile pack I've ever had. and im sue that ill be using this for a good while, I've heard some used this for 3 years and it still look new... so remember this......
"You buy cheap, you buy twice"
